HOMECOMING: JUNE 4 & 5 2010
The Village of Genoa's 2010 Homecoming festivities goes back to its patriotic roots by welcoming the various branches of the armed forces to celebrate this coming year's event. This year's 2-day event will begin on June 4th with a parade which travels through the downtown of the village and ends at the historic Town Hall. The parade will spotlight the musical talents of the servicemen of the various military bands, local area high school bands, as well as local organizations and businesses. There will be a fireworks display offered this year, at dark, after the parade to help celebrate the dedication of the servicemen and servicewomen have to this great country of ours!!
The second day of this anticipated event, June 5th, will bring a street fair, children's games, carnival rides and face painting,art-in-the-park, bingo, a corn hole tournament and other activities that will take place throughout the day. Evening will bring a chicken bbq hosted by Rayz Cafe, live music, a custom car show, and other entertainment.
*Sunday: Rayz Cafe is sponsoring a bike run with the proceeds going to Honor Flight
